Capturing those un-choreographed (and sometimes chaotic) moments
Photography has always been a big part of my life. In fact, as far back as I can remember, I’ve always
had a trusty camera at hand so that I could catch and keep those fleeting seconds of real life –
completely un-choreographed moments that make me smile, laugh out loud or bring tears to my
Becoming a mum to Ollie and Harry only enhanced this passion to document the
first steps, gappy toothless grins, birthdays and all the chaotic family every day scenes in between.
After all, we all know how quickly these moments can pass by and how easily they can be forgotten.
Add our pawfect pooch Luna to the mix and most family photos now consist of blowy Brighton
beach walks and snuggles on the sofa underneath heaps of blankets. Those perfect ‘nothing special’
days that are the essence of family life.
For me, it’s so important to capture the true personality of the person or people I’m photographing.
That’s why I’ll never ask clients – children or adults, to pose or sit still for the camera. Instead I prefer
a more natural approach, where we all have fun together and you forget I’m taking photographs!
